FRESNO - Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested 32 year old Ashley Farmer of Clovis and booked her into the Fresno County Jail. She is facing charges of smuggling narcotics into jail, possession of narcotics for sale and committing a crime while out on bail. Farmer was arrested earlier this month on drug related charges and she later bailed out of jail. She is currently in custody with a bail amount of $116,000.

Deputies also added an additional charge of conspiracy to the booking record of current inmate Richard Langdon.

On Wednesday, correctional officers received a package that was to be delivered to inmate, Richard Langdon, a 37 year old of Clovis man who has been in jail since November for drug possession and identity theft charges. As part of routine security measures in the jail, officers inspected the contents of the package. During the search, officers found 12 small plastic baggies filled with cocaine, which were hidden in the packaging. Officers determined that Ashley Farmer was the person who had dropped off the package intended for Langdon, who is her boyfriend. A deputy then responded to the jail to take a narcotics report.

As part of follow up in the investigation, the deputy and Clovis Police officers contacted Farmer at a home on the 2400 block of Dennis Ave. in Clovis. Farmer shares the home with Langdon, who is on probation as part of AB 109. This condition allowed officers to search the home and there they found a small amount of methamphetamine. Farmer was then arrested.
