MADERA – Madera County District Attorney, David A. Linn, announced that yesterday, Mark Garner, of Chowchilla, was found guilty on all counts, following a four week trial in Department 21 of the Madera Superior Court, before Judge, Joseph Soldani.
Garner was found guilty of one count of rape, and one count of incest, which occurred between October 2003 and 2004. Mr. Garner was also found guilty of eight counts of aggravated sexual assault upon a child under the age of fourteen, occurring between November 1995 and November 1997.
The defendant was charged with and found guilty of assaulting multiple victims. D.A. Linn thanked Sergeant, Jason Clark, of the Madera Sheriff’s Department, for his fine work as Investigating Officer. Linn also stated, “We are grateful for the support of law enforcement and victim services in the prosecution of this case. The victims showed great courage in coming forward and testifying as to the acts that occurred when they were younger.”
Deputy District Attorney Traci Wise was the prosecutor that tried the case, which resulted in the conviction on all ten counts of the criminal complaint.

Mr. Garner will be sentenced on March 30, 2017, by Judge Joseph Soldani. Garner is facing exposure of 135 years to life in State Prison.
