BREAKING NEWS - The Madera Unified School Board announced its intent to censure Trustee Lynn Cogdill Tuesday night for unprofessional behavior, cussing out Superintendent Edward Gonzales and threatening to fire him if Cogdill is re-elected.
While Cogdill stated he, as one board member, did not have the power to fire Gonzales, Cogdill did not deny the language he used saying that, everyone cusses and I thought Superintendent Gonzales had a thicker skin.
After Cogdill was explained the meaning of the word "CENSURE" by district legal counsel, the trustee ask if someone could please explain it to him in layman's terms. Someone from the audience yelled out, "You done bad Lynn."
There will be a full story in the Madera Tribune Thursday. In the mean time listen to the meeting for yourself and notice there was no apology to Gonzales like the Trustee said he did on his Facebook page. Since the censure, Cogdill has blocked BVN from his Facebook pages. Guess that is what he thinks transparency really means.
Cogdill is currently under investigation for not living within his election area or even in the school district by local media. Stories about Mr. Cogdill's past actions are available on this website.
Mr. Cogdill is up for re-election this Tuesday.
