MADERA - Madera Police Department dispatch received a call of shots fired in the area of Madera Ave. and Olive Ave Monday evening Upon arrival, officers found that a Hispanic male, in his 20’s, had been shot multiple times.
Officers administered first aid and Pistoresi Ambulance transported the victim to Madera Community Hospital where he died from his wounds.
After an extensive investigation, Jose Alfredo Osorio (21), was arrested in connection to the homicide. At the time of his arrest Osorio was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm and a large amount of methamphetamine packaged for sale.
It appeared that Osorio was preparing to flee the city within moments if he was not apprehended. Osorio is a fugitive, wanted since 2011 on unrelated drug charges.
The motive in this case may be a domestic issue. Osorio is originally from Oaxaca, Mexico. He was booked on charges of murder and drug sales.
