MADERA - Rebecca Martinez, County Clerk-Recorder and Registrar of Voters announced that prior to the opening of two Vote Centers on October 24, she is providing voters with an additional opportunity to vote in-person, on Saturday, October 10, 2020. Between the hours of 9 am and 1 pm, voters can visit the Elections Division, located in the County Government Center at 200 W. Fourth Street in Madera. Safety protocols will be in place, masks will be available and social distancing will be enforced.
On weekdays, beginning October 1 through October 23, early voting is available in the County Clerk’s office by appointment. To schedule an appointment, call the Elections Division at 800-435-0509. Thereafter, starting on October 24th, Vote Centers will be open daily, including weekends, to serve you – no appointments needed!
Remember: Two Vote Centers will open on October 24, one in Madera, and one in Oakhurst. The remaining five Vote Centers will open on October 31. A complete list of locations appears in your County Voter Information Guide and online at www.votemadera.com.
Vote by Mail Ballots was mailed to all registered voters on October 1. Allow 2-5 days for delivery. You can also use this opportunity to drop off your voted ballot as well.
Remember you can mail your ballots back to the Elections Department free of charge, so please DO NOT hand your ballot to a stranger to deliver for you. That is BALLOT HARVESTING and is a very dangerous practice that could lead to voter fraud or identity theft. Ballot Tracking is now available. This is a free service that will notify you when your ballot is mailed, received, and counted. Sign up today at www.wheresmyballot.sos.ca.gov.
