Mrs. Jessie Mae Williamson (90), a native of Hope, AR and resident of Madera, CA for 66 years, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in Jurupa Valley, CA. She was a health care provider and a devoted member of the Grace Tabernacle Church in Fairmead, CA. Jessie was a quilter and enjoyed home canning. She also enjoyed gift shopping and collecting Christmas memorabilia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Roxie (Johnson) Garland, her husband Clarence Leon Williamson, who passed away in December of 1990, daughter Kathy Williamson and brothers John Garland, J.C. Garland and Jim G. Garland.
Jessie is survived by her sons Jimmy C. Williamson of Marina, CA; Richard C. Williamson of Fresno, CA; Larry J. Williamson of Madera, CA and Clarence E. Williamson of Fresno, CA; 1 daughter, Joanna Chatman and her husband Daniel David of Jurupa Valley, CA; 5 sisters: Nancy Woods of Temecula, CA; Mildred Garland of Murrieta, CA; Minnie P. Ishmael and her husband Bishop Herman Ishmael of Las Vegas, NV; Lola Mitchell and her husband Bishop Henry Mitchell of San Diego, CA and Vallie Garland of Chowchilla, CA. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin Friday, April 27, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am at Jay Chapel in Madera, CA. Interment will be at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera.
