Paula Jean Crabtree (94)

Paula Jean Crabtree (94) of Madera, California passed from this life on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. Paula was born in Sutherland, Nebraska to Edward Boldman and Emma Dobranz Boldman.

Following High School she later met and married Thalton R.C. “Pete” Crabtree in 1946. As a married couple they have lived in Colorado, and later the westside of the San Joaquin Valley of California in Mendota, Cantua Creek and Tranquillity, before ultimately settling in Madera in 1973 where Rev. Crabtree pastored the First Southern Baptist Church on Nebraska Avenue until his untimely death in 1985.

In addition to her husband Rev. Crabtree, Paula was preceded in death by her parents and siblings and by a granddaughter Melanie Crabtree.

Paula is survived by her son Larry Ray Crabtree and his wife Rosemary of Tennessee, her grandsons, Rev. John Crabtree and his wife Staci of Madera, Ca. and by Jeremy Crabtree of Tennessee and by her great grandchildren Emily and Josiah Crabtree.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 10 AM at The First Southern Baptist Church of Madera, 711 Nebraska Avenue in Madera, CA. Viewing will be on Monday prior to the service at the Church. Interment following the service will be at Fresno Memorial Gardens, Whitesbridge and Cornelia Avenues in Fresno.

Remembrances in Paula’s memory may be made to Hinds Hospice or to The First Southern Baptist Church of Madera.
