Dr. Bill Dwayne Duke (89) passed away on November 9, 2019. Bill was born in Colton, California, and was a practicing Dentist and Orthodontist for more than 40 years. Bill was a 1948 graduate of Colton High, then attended UCLA for undergraduate studies, before graduating the USC Dental School, and Loma Linda Graduate School
He served honorably in the US Air Force in the Philippines during the Korean War. Bill later served as a Trustee Colton Unified School Board. He was also associated with Fresno County Coroners Office as their forensic orthodontist.
In his professional career he was associated with the American Dental Association, Fresno-Madera Dental Society, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics, American Society of Functional Orthodontics, Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Scientists, American Society of Forensic Odontologists, Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, Central Valley AIDS Team, and Elks.
He loved his family and friends. Bill enjoyed piloting, fishing, traveling, gardening, reading and being with Robin.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Alva Lloyd, Mildred Wayne Duke, and daughter Lori. He is survived by his loving wife Robin Kershaw Duke, 2 brothers Ron (Shirley) and John (Marilyn); four daughters Donna (Kyle) Beckman, Luci (Dennis) Scott, Lori Reynolds and Brenda Trobaugh, and Kim (Tim) Wilson; and 2 sons James (Diana) and Stephen (Dena); 12 grandchildren, Michael, Andrew, Jennifer, Sarah, Ryan, David, Bethany, Lauren, Katy, Claire, Brent, Richie and 6 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. Belmont Memorial Park. His wishes were for donations to be made to Poverello House, Fresno, California.
