Larry Dean Taylor (70), a native of Amarillo, TX and a resident of Madera for 65 years, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021.
He attended local churches throughout his life and worked as a mechanic at Bisceglia Brothers Winery and later at Selsor Demolition as a heavy equipment operator. Larry was a graduate of J.F.K. High School in Barstow, CA, and proudly served in Vietnam in the U.S. Army where he received the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.
He is survived by his Daughter Laurie Marie Taylor of Fresno and his Son Matthew Taylor and his wife Mayra of Madera. Two Brothers, Kenneth Taylor of Madera and Jack Taylor of Nevada. Along with seven Grandchildren: Brianna Roemer, Dominick Cortez, Andrew Cortez, Kylie Carter, Chloe Carter, Samuel Ethan Taylor, and William Alexander Romauldo. He leaves behind five Great-Grandchildren: Abigail Roemer, Kaiden Cortez, Jace Cortez, Brooklyn Roemer, and Aria Cortez, and his Former wife Evelyn Zimmerschied.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 29, 2021, from 4-7 pm at Jay Chapel. Graveside service will be Weds. June 30, 2021, 9 AM at Arbor Vitae Cemetery, 1301 Roberts Ave., Madera, CA 93637
