Fabian Benabente (63) passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the age of 63. He was born in Merced, CA and lived in Madera, CA for the past 26 years. Fabian was a Madera Police Officer and later an Investigator for the Madera District Attorney’s office, a career span of 21 years.

He was a jokester, and enjoyed entertaining his many friends. Fabian was a great person, he was always willing to help others. He was an avid Giants and 49er fan. His dogs were his greatest joy.

Fabian was preceded in death by his daughter Bambi. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda Benabente of Madera, his parents, Fabian and Teresa Benabente of Merced, his son Fabian Derek Benabente and his wife Lizabeth of Tacoma, WA, his daughter Amy Benabente of San Jose, CA, his brother Ruben Benabente and his wife Stacey of Merced, two brother-in-law’s Joe Flores of Merced and Ernie Flores of San Antonio, TX, and twelve nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind one granddaughter, Avery.

Memorial Service will be held on: Wednesday, March 16, 2016, 7:00 P.M. at Jay Chapel, Madera, CA

Graveside Service will take place on Thursday, March 17, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at Arbor Vitae Cemetery, Madera, CA
