Julie Gleason McCully (55) went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 8, 2016. Julie was born on June 14, 1960 in Fresno, Ca and was raised in Madera, Ca. She was the daughter of Barbara Thornton and Fred Gleason. She attended John Adams Elementary School, Thomas Jefferson Junior High School and graduated from Madera High School with the class of 1978. In 1987 she married the love of her life, Erik McCully of Fresno, and moved to Southern California.
Julie was a compassionate and caring woman and was an amazing mother and loving wife. Her life truly revolved around her children and their activities. They participated in sports and many other activities. They brought so much joy into her life and made her equally as proud with all they have accomplished.
Julie was a major influence on her family, the church she attended and her community. Her infectious smile and laugh, her beauty, charisma, strength and loving warmth radiated wherever she went. Julie lived in laughter, singing songs to the Lord, cherished friendships. She loved and treasured her family. Her memory will live in our hearts forever. Shout To The Lord was her favorite song. Julie had so much faith in Jesus even through the toughest of storms.
Julie was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Betty Jo McCully, grandfather Dominic (Babe) Sordi, sister-in-law Annette Gleason, grandparents Jim and Alice Gleason and her Aunt Loyce Gleason.
She is survived by Erik, her beloved husband of 29 years, and her three children Garrett and Cole McCully both of Anaheim, CA, and Caitlin of Spring Valley, CA. She is also survived by her mother, Barbara Thornton of Madera, CA, her father, Fred Gleason and his wife Suzanne of Stevenson, CA, her grandmother Irene Sordi of Madera, CA, father-in-law Clyde McCully of Fresno, CA, her aunt Margie Cipriani and her husband Roy of Madera, CA, her brother Curt Gleason and niece Lilly of Madera, CA, her uncle Don Gleason of Covina, CA, and her cousin Peggy Breen of New York.
A memorial Service for Julie will be held on May 7, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1855 North Orange-Olive Road, Orange, CA. There will be a short reception following the service in St. Andrews Hall.
Private Inurnment will be held at a later date.
