FRESNO - It is and has been the goal of the Fresno Monsters to return ice hockey to Selland Arena in downtown Fresno. Cooperation with the current Fresno City Administration and Council has provided us the opportunity to now make that goal into a reality.
The Fresno Monsters are proud to announce that we will be playing our last three home games of the regular season at Selland Arena, Thursday February 15th, Friday February 16th, and Saturday February 17th against the Long Beach Bombers. The puck will drop on all three dates at 7:30pm.
In order to demonstrate that ice hockey is a viable, sustainable entertainment opportunity benefiting the citizens of Fresno and the downtown area, the Fresno Monsters are issuing a call to arms. A request to pack the house and fill Selland Arena.
Tickets will be reasonably priced for all fans and group tickets will also be made available for purchase through the Selland Arena box office at a later date. For persons not able to make it out for a game but still wish to support our cause, tickets can be purchased and donated to a local non-profit.
"Simply put, we are calling on the community for support and the support of everyone's family, friends and co-workers. We will continue in our dedication to providing the best entertainment experience possible to our fans and hope to see everyone at the games! "
