Brigitte Thibault Continues to Pace Bulldogs at LVCS

BOULDER CITY, Nev. - Fresno State fired a 4-over-par 292 in the second round of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, hosted by UNLV at Boulder Creek Golf Club on Monday. The Bulldogs currently sit alone in eighth place with a 7-over-par 583 through two rounds (291-292), up a spot from yesterday. Two Bulldogs are in the top 20 in the leaderboards through day two.

The Bulldogs were led by sophomore Brigitte Thibault and freshman Jessica Hall who each fired a 2-under-par 70 in the second round. Thibault (69-70=139) is currently tied at fourth place while Hall (72-70=142) moves up 10 spots in the leaderboard to sit tied for 16th at the end of the second round.

Thibault fired an even par front nine and 2-under on the back nine with three birdies on the day. Thibault is just four strokes behind tournament leader Ellie Slama from Oregon State who has fired a two round score of 135 (-9).

Junior Dominika Gradecka shot a 2-over-par 74 (76-74=150) on the second day to leave her tied at 62nd through round two.

Freshman Harriet Lynch saw four less strokes in the second round than the first and sits alone in 88th place with 160 overall. (82-78).

Junior Danielle Richman, participating in the tournament as an individual, shot a second round 8-over-par 80 to place her tied at 62nd along with Gradecka. Richman has a two round total of 150 (70-80).

Redshirt junior Kristin Simonsen fell in the leaderboard after a 9-over-par 81 second round and currently sits tied at 78th with a 155 total through two rounds (74-81=155).

Looking Forward
Fresno State will close out play at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. PT. Live stats available at Golfstat.com
